There are multiple Honiture models available online in this article specifically we will talk about the “G20PRO” setup with edimax.setup. Now, it doesn’t matter which robot vacuum model you have or which router you have, the setup steps almost remain the same for most. For a Robot vacuum to operate it needs an Internet and that can be provided by your router access point or extender.
So first, we need to make sure we have a working internet at home. In case you still haven’t set up the Edimax router yet then follow the given below guide. Or else skip to the step where we have mentioned steps to connect the Honiture to Edimax.
So, to start with make sure you have plugged your Edimax router at the desired location. Now depending upon your connection type, you will need to connect the Internet cable to your router. In case you have optical fiber then connect that to the back of the router. If you have an ethernet cable then connect it to the WAN port. In case you don’t know your connection type then you can simply ask your Internet Service Provider and they will help you too.

Where to place the router for the best connection with Honiture?
Now, it is really important for you to understand the right location for the placement of the router and the robot vacuum. The reason is that the robot vacuum will need Wi-Fi to operate throughout your house. So, we don’t want the router to be in one corner of the house and the robot in another. This way the device will keep getting disconnected and will not receive proper Wi-Fi signals.

Now most of the robot vacuum cleaners have the same kind of setup steps. The only difference is that they use different apps for the setup. So here first and foremost you will need to download the Honiture App. You can download it from the Play Store or App Store as per your OS.
- Next, you will need to create an account and then login into the app.
- So, before we connect the robot vacuum to the Wi-Fi make sure the vacuum is powered on and fully charged. It should not be connected to the charging station during the setup. Plus it should be placed in the same room as the router on the floor or leveled surface.
- You will need to press the power and home button on the unit for 3 seconds until you hear the prompt.
- Once the Wi-Fi icon flashes on the unit follow the on screen instructions on the app.
- Tap on the “Add device” option on the app and then it will ask you to select the Wi-Fi name with which you want to connect the robot vacuum to.
- So, select Edimax router SSID and type its password there for confirmation.
- Turn on the Bluetooth of your phone too. You will then see the vacuum showing up on the screen, so tap on it to add it.
- You will have to reset the vacuum also. So, follow the on screen instructions to complete the setup.
So, this is how you can connect Honiture to the Wi-Fi. In case you can’t get it connected then you can write to the official Honiture support at support02@ honiture.com. Or else you can also try to reboot your devices once. So, unplug the router and the vacuum cleaner. Then plug them back in after 2 minutes and then try the setup again. You can also try to use a different phone for the setup.
